Stage 1 changes the software. Stage 2 adds parts around the engine. Stage 3 goes inside: we upgrade the engine and turbo themselves, then build a remap around the new hardware. It's not an off-the-shelf package. It's a performance project, planned with you from the start.
Every Stage 3 is different. Depending on your engine and your goals, it can include:
A bigger turbocharger, or the turbo from a more powerful version of your engine
Supporting parts, so the rest of the vehicle keeps up: injectors and fuel supply, intercooler and cooling, reinforced clutch
A remap built for your new hardware, tuned on the dyno
Not necessarily. It depends on how it's done.
Manufacturers often use the same base engine in several power versions, with the main difference being the turbo and the injectors. If your vehicle has the lower-power version, fitting the parts from the higher-power version takes the engine to a level it was already built to handle.
Where Stage 3 goes beyond what the manufacturer planned, we tell you clearly what it means for your engine before we start. No surprises.
Stage 3 is for you if:
You've reached the limits of Stage 2 and want to go further
You have a clear goal for your vehicle
You see it as a project, not a quick upgrade
Stage 1 or Stage 2 is probably better if:
You want more power with no parts changed, or only bolt-on parts
You want a remap that can be reversed. Stage 3 replaces engine parts, so it's a permanent change.
Not sure? Our team will help you choose the right stage.
Discuss: your goals, how you use your vehicle, your budget.
Diagnostic: we check the engine's condition before any work.
Plan & quote: the parts list, the work and the price, for your build.
Build: engine and turbo parts fitted in our workshop.
Remap on the dyno: the map is built for your new hardware and checked on our dyno.
Is Stage 3 reversible? Stage 3 involves significant mechanical modifications, which can be complex and costly to revert to the original configuration. If you’re looking for a solution that’s easier to reverse and less expensive, Stage 1 or Stage 2 will generally be a better fit.
Can I use my vehicle for daily driving after a Stage 3 upgrade? That depends on the configuration you choose and the extent of the modifications. We’ll assess how you use your vehicle to design a project that meets your expectations, whether for daily driving or more performance-oriented use.
How long should I expect a Stage 3 upgrade to take? The duration varies depending on the parts to be installed, the complexity of the work, and the time needed for tuning. An estimated timeline will be provided with your quote.
